An excellent, complete yet elegant vintage. The fermentation was in progress at the time of the wine departments first sale, October 11 1966
Tasting note; most attractive colour, not deep but rich; bouquet closed at first but opened up superbly and, decanted into a half-bottle was even better on nose and palate the next day; medium-sweet, fairly full bodied, assertive - indeed extradordinarily powerful - great length, still tannin enough for many years ahead.
