Bollinger, Vieilles Vignes Françaises, Blanc de Noirs--Vintage 1970
This cuvée is made from Pinot Noir grapes from two small pre-phylloxera vineyards, one in Aÿ and the other in Bouzy. Very rare
Tasting note: 1981 - fairly pale. Very frothy when first poured but quickly settled to gently, idle, even flow of small bubbles. A sweet. mealy nose; sweeter and richer than the RDs, soft yet mouthfilling. Most recently straw coloured; soft, lovely. Perfect now (1991)**** (M.B. GVWB II)
