Heritage des Comtes de Mareuil
The Counts of Mareuil are amongst the noblest families from French history, descending from the Lord of Mareuil who was a close companion of the Emperor Charlemagne. They have owned vineyards in the Cognac region since the early sixteenth century.
In the late nineteenth century, Francois de Mareuil, the last Count fathered one child, a daughter, who married Philip Marett, a native of Jersey and a member of the Martell Cognac family.
Today, their descendants continue the family's proud traditions at the Domaine des Forges in Chermignac from where these rare bottles have been removed for sale
