Pomerol. English-bottled by Dolamore
Written "La Fleur" on label. Level into neck

Pomerol came of age as it were, in the immediate post-war years, the 1945, 1949 and, in particular, the 1947 being superb. Yet knowledge of these wines was scarce. Their discovery was led by a handful of great connoisseurs, Jack Plumb, Harry Waugh, the late Jack Rutherford, Cruse agent, Edward Cruse himself and Ronald Avery. The wine was shipped by Cruse and bottled by Rutherfords, by Harveys and by a very small number of other merchants including Dolamore. Classic. M.B.
