We usually serve Sauternes at the end of Bordeaux Club dinner though Jack and I also occasionally open with it. In July 1986, this ten-year old accompanied cold lobster. Both the '75 and '76 Rieussec had - have - an unusually deep colour. The '76 deep-amber gold; barley sugar, gloriously honeyed; sweet of course, soft, rich - too rich for the lobster I thought. M.B.
