The first cognac in this lot is Jack Plumb's favourite and often served cognac. Strange that Hine, which made its reputation in England with their great vintage cognacs, should have been sidetracked by the big grande marque houses, for a period dropping the vintage business. A typical palish amber Hine colour; sweet, lovely. To everyone's surprise, our host then produced a 25 year-old Parfait Amour. doubtless in honour of the Members wives. M.B.
