I have always been a fan of Roederer. Their non-vintage is consistent, their vintage - such as this - excellent, and the Cristal Brut, at best, sublime. Several recent notes on the '69 Extra Dry: palish gold, very fine mousse; lovely smoky scent like a recently extinguished wood fire, rich entry, dry finish. Very good flavour, length and excellent acidity. MB
