Lot 63 one excellent appearance. Re-corked by the Château. One bin-soiled label. Level top-shoulder. All other labels bin-soiled. Levels: in lot 64 one base of neck, two top-shoulder or slightly better, in lot 65 one base of neck, two top-shoulder or slightly better, in lot 66 two base of neck and four very top-shoulder, in lot 67 three base of neck, six very top and three top-shouder
Many notes: a fabulous but still tannic bottle tasted at the Baur au Lac, Zurich, October 1994. Latour in unquestionably the greatest wine of this mammoth vintage. So massive and tannic is its structure that it took a full half-century to mature. MB
