Many notes: Latour made superlative wine in 1929. Impressively deep, even for Latour, opaque centre, lovely and lively; a truly exciting, richly scented nose, spicy cloves, eucalyptus, sage. On the palate: immensely sweet and rich for a Médoc, for Latour. Well-endowed with alcohol, extract and fruit. Velvety. A wonderfully full, elongated shape in the mouth, with marvellous length and glorious aftertaste. Five stars, one is tempted to add a sixth. MB
