This is the sort of year that makes Sauternes what it is, the weather transforming a risky vintage for reds into a superb late autumn ripening period, with botrytis, "noble rot", for the sweet whites. Lur-Saluce's favourite vintage and certainly a beauty. Tasted and drunk on nearly fifty occasions and always a treat though the colour and weight does seem to vary slightly.
