The hottest summer in Bordeaux on record. Two relatively recent notes, a very richly impressive bottle at Peter Ziegler's remarkable tasting/dinner of over fifty great wines at the Schlosshotel Erbach in December 1995 and the next just four months later at a dinner given by the present owner and served with foie gras: fairly deep amber, with apple green rim; fabulous bouquet, incredible power; intensely sweet, perfect counterbalancing acidity. Lovely flavour. Great wine. MB
