Seven higly regarded vintages of Yquem, opening with a vey rare magnum of one of the château's greatest successes. Such is the concentration of Yquem that this magnum would be perfect for a major celebratory dinner for a surprisingly large number of guests

Re-corked by the Château in 1992. Excellent appearance. Level into neck
Considered the greatest Yquem vintage since 1847 and unquestionably the most magnificent of the present century. Many notes over the past quarter of a century, all spectacular though some deeper and more Madeira-like. At its most perfect best at the same dinner as the 1893, but served at the end of the meal: medium - not deep - warm amber gold; glorious peaches and barley sugar bouquet that blossomed in the glass; medium sweet though very rich and assertive, with high but excellent acidity and great length.
