Sandeman, Very Very Old Oloroso
Originally sold at Christie's in June 1982 as the stock excess to Sandeman's requirements. The average age of the component parts of this wine was 24 years. Lovely rich chestnut colour. Intensely rich, yet subdued bouquet as some TBAs are in comparison with BAs and like all the great dessert wines, its sweetness counterbalanced by crisp acidity. Opulent. soft, wonderful flavour and length. The Yquem of Sherry. M.B. (GVWBII)
