Circular, with flared rim and spreading bases with borders of stiff foliage, the bowed sides applied with vignettes of wine ewers set in a coaster flanked by grapevine and with martial trophies, plain bases, applied each side with a coat-of-arms and Marques's coronet, marked under bases and on sides--6 7/8in.(17.5cm.) diameter

The arms are those of Aguado, as borne by Alejandro de Aguado, Marques of Las Marismas del Guadalquivir, the celebrated Spanish banker during the Napoleonic wars.
