FIRST-GROWTHS FROM GREAT VINTAGES
1929-1966
This collection was removed for sale from a cellar in the Northeast where it had been stored undisturbed in perfect temperature and humidity-controlled conditions since purchase in the early 1970s. Most of the wine, including all full cases except owc's, was purchased at auction in London, and at the time of cataloguing was still in cartons banded for shipment in bond to the U.S. in 1972. In the course of cataloguing, bottles of Lafite 1945 and Latour 1955 were sampled and found to be in marvellous condition.
