CLASSIC WINES INCLUDING LATOUR 1903-1950 AND A FULL CASE OF LATOUR 1929 Property of an EMINENT WEST COAST COLLECTOR These wines are part of a collection established in the 1950's. The underground cellar, well-known to Christie's, was built in the 1960's in three parts. The outermost, containing port and other fortified wines, is maintained at 58 degrees; the main cellar at 54 degrees; and the inner cellar, housing older rarities including the wines in this group, as well as German wines, at 49 degrees. The Latours were all purchased soon after release from the Château in the 1960's, many of the bottles having been recorked in 1966.
