The wines offered below are the property of a knowledgeable collector in the old-fashioned sense: someone who pursues objects of quality, rarity, and historic importance and with points of special focus. Most of the wines were purchased over the last twenty-five years primarily at auction, and were kept in superb temperature-controlled conditions thereafter. Most of the oldest Lafites were reconditioned by the Maître de Chai of Lafite in 1992. The Pomerols and St. Emilions from the 1945 vintage are particularly rare.
