"Convent of the Sisters of Notre Dame, Mount Pleasant", a small finely embroidered sampler worked in coloured silks with bands of alphabets and geometric motifs within a stylised bud border--8 x 5in. (20 x 13cm.), framed and glazed, first half of 19th century; and another by Mary Hibbert 1836 embroidered in coloured wools and black and brown silks, the centre with family details, bordered with various spot motifs with a pious verse at the bottom, within a stylised floral border--21 x 16in.
