Lot Essay

With an attached handwritten note on the back, "This work was done in Stockton by Mrs. Head, West House, Bishopston, 1812. Mrs. Head became the wife of Rev. Richard Atkinson, vicar of Darlington 1820-4 who died at Gateshead whither he went for a change 1824. His wife died in Darlington Stanhope Road 1886 and was interred Darlington March Monday Feb 26th 1886
