12° (some light staining to a few leaves), contemporary English red gilt-tooled goatskin possibly by Thomas Dawson the Younger of Cambridge, with central arabesque and matching floral corner-pieces, pyramids of semi-circles as side-pieces, four symmetrically-placed floral sprays, and urn of flowers standing at the top and bottom tip of the arabesque, spine backed in calf (worn at foot, joints and corners heavily rubbed), g.e. Provenance: Silence Folkes, trimmed armorial bookplate; "Given by Mrs March", old inscription at foot of title.
