A large Tibetan bronze standard
in the form of a vajra, with triple terminal and three heads of grimacing deities wearing skull headdresses above shou-characters enclosing a faceted mid-section with multi-armed deities and further calligraphy, above a triple lion-headed section and coiled serpents to the tri-form blade-section, the circular standwith numerous animals among breaking waves below a band of scrolling foliage, the details inlaid in turquoise -- 68½.in (174cm) high, Xuande six-character marks, 18th/19th Century, (some inlay missing, old wear, slight damage).
