TWO ARCHAISTIC PALE GRAYISH-GREEN JADE VESSELS
Late Ming/Qing Dynasty
One a well-hollowed ewer carved in shallow relief with bands of archaistic designs, the faceted handle piercing the head of a mythical beast, with arched openings in the foot rim; the other a beaker vase of fang gu form carved on the upper and lower body with upright leaves and on the central section with flower sprays and overlapping grasses, all bordered by rows of notched flanges
