Finely woven on the front and back panels in shades of blue, red, ochre, pale aubergine and gold with nine contorted five-clawed dragons confronting flaming pearls amidst vaporous clouds interspersed with bats, shou characters and the Eight Buddhist Emblems, above the lishui stripe and terrestrial diagram at the hem, the collar and cuffs with dark blue-ground cuffs woven with further dragons and clouds
