A similar horse from the Schloss Collection is illustrated by Janet Baker in the Catalogue for the exhibition, Seeking Immortality, The Bowers Museum of Cultural Art, Santa Ana, California, 6 October - 16 March 1997, p. 40, no. 127. Compare, also, the example found in the Tang tomb of General Yuanshou and his wife, dated 684-698, at Xian, Shaanxi province, illustrated in Wenwu, 1988:12, p. 44, fig. 18. A third example is illustrated on the title page by Qin Ting Yu in Zhongguo gudai taosu yishu (Ancient Chinese Ceramic Sculpture and Art), Beijing, 1957.
