AN UNUSUAL PALE CELADON JADE TRIPOD CENSER
17th/18th Century
Based on bronze prototypes, the thick-walled vessel with flat base and flared sides rising to a straight rim, raised on three short supports well carved with archaistic animal masks above paw feet, with a pair of elephant-head handles suspending loose oval rings from the looped trunks, the translucent stone with some buff mottling
