The canted rectangular top with central sliding chessboard, revealing a backgammon board, above a frieze drawer to the front and a swivelling counter-drawer and candle-slide to each side, revealing a secret compartment, on lyre-end supports inlaid with brass and ebony patera joined by a pierced stretcher with central rectangular panel of four carved leaves centred by a brass and ebony patera on downswept panelled legs and brass claw caps and castors, the underside inscribed in pencil 'C..
