AN IRISH GEORGE II MAHOGANY AND OAK OPEN ARMCHAIR
The pierced arched toprail centred by a scallop-shell and scrolled patera with waved secondary toprail, above a foliate-carved vase-shaped splat, flanked by outscrolled arms with paper-scroll terminals, above a padded drop-in seat covered in red velvet, on cabriole legs capped with scallop-shells and acanthus claw feet, with moulded ankle, the underside inscribed in white paint '89/3830' and with printed plastic label inscribed 'PATTERN OM3830', restorations and replacements to the veneer, particularly to the front seat-rail, later angle-brackets, one front leg spliced
