The hoop back with pierced tulip splat and incurved front arm-supports, above a solid shaped seat, on ring-turned baluster legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher, the underside inscribed in white paint '25/4116' and with plastic label 'OM 6086', restorations (2)

The Parker Knoll records state that the first chair was stock in December 1929 and that the second chair was acquired on 7 April 1927, for £1.15.0.

The child's chair is unusual in not having the safety bar attached to the arms and the foot-rest. The pierced tulip splat of the second chair is very rare, two other forms of this splat are illustrated in B. D. Cotton The English Regional Chair, Woodbridge, 1990, p. 56, fig. TV59 and TV99.
