A GEORGE III MAHOGANY SIDE CHAIR
The shaped toprail and pierced trellis splat carved with paterae, flanked by channelled arms with ring-turned supports, above a padded bowed seat covered in floral embroidered cotton, on panelled square tapering legs and spade feet, the underside inscribed in white paint '286/142' and with plastic printed label 'PATTERN/OM142', restorations and the arms later, one front leg spliced, the back previously upholstered

AND A LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY OPEN ARMCHAIR
Reeded overall, the toprail with a foliate-carved pierced tripple splat flanked by arms on downswept supports terminating in leaves, above a caned seat, on reeded tapering legs headed by panels and on toupie feet, the underside inscribed in white paint '735 (SUP)' and with plastic label 'OM 735', restorations, one front leg and one seat-rail replaced (2)

The Parker Knoll records state that both chairs were in stock prior to 1911 and the first valued at £1.00, the second valued at £2.10.0.
