Messrs. A. Hepplewhite and Co's The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Guide, 1788 illustrated a dentil-corniced 'Double Chest of Drawers' of this pattern (pl. 53), accompanied by another with 'fluted pilasters at the angles' (pl. 54). A similar secretaire-tallboy was offered anonymously, Sotheby's London, 13 July 1990, lot 193.
