FIRST INTERMEDIATE PERIOD (2134-2040 B.C.)
With broad central column, decorated with horizontal striations; and another, in three sections, with flaring rectangular base, bevelled column and upward curving pillow, faint traces of a painted inscription on both sides of the column, probably New Kingdom (1550-1070 B.C.)
5.5/8 in. (14.2 cm.) and 9.1/8 in. (23.2 cm.) high respectively (2)
