A LURISTAN BRONZE FINIAL AND STAND

The finial in the form of a janus-headed humanoid tube figure flanked by rampant lions, 10½ in. (26.7 cm.) high; a bronze openwork harness ring surmounted by a moufflon head and flanking carnivores, 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high max.; a cast bronze disc-shaped pin head with stylized leonine motif, 1.5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) diam. max.; a small bronze handled cup, the ring handle surmounted by a bird, 2½ in. (6.4 cm.) wide; and a shallow bronze bowl, the bulging body with lobes or gadroons, short flared neck with incised lines below lip, interior plain, convex base raising central area in interior with grooved perimeter, small dot in centre, 7 in. (17.8 cm.) diam., all 1000-700 B.C. (5)
