AN ETRUSCAN ROUND-MOUTHED OINOCHOE

The high-shouldered tapering body with concave neck and twin conjoined handle, decorated in reddish-brown with upward pointing rays, an encircling broad band and lines with frieze of diagonal brush strokes, short horizontal strokes on the handle, rim repaired, 10.7/8 in. (27.6 cm.) high; a lidded pyxis, the globular body with twin loop handles and domed knobbed lid, with reddish-brown encircling lines and vertical strokes on the shoulder, 7th Century B.C., 5.1/8 in. (13 cm.) high overall; an Italic footed kylix with twin loop handles and horizontal rim, with reddish-brown concentric circles, short strokes on the rim and frieze of triangles on the shoulder, two pairs of suspension holes, repaired, 7¾ in. (19.7 cm.) across handles, circa 6th-5th Century B.C.; and a shallow dish with triangular projections, striped and banded decoration, 6¼ in. (15.8 cm.) diam. (4)
