A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD, AMARANTH AND PARQUETRY COMMODE

The eared and canted rectangular grey marble top above three long drawers with green-stained banding and a shaped apron centred by a mount with a vase and scrolling foliage, the canted angles with simulated fluting headed by a pilaster mount and terminating in bracket feet, remounted, restorations, the back feet resupported, stamped to the top of the carcase 'J. G. SCHLICHTIG' and 'JME', the reverse with old storage label inscribed 'Ameublement A. Landeau La Ferte - St. Aubin' and 'Madame Dislauf 8 square du Champ de Mars Paris'
