A LILLE TENIERS PASTORAL TAPESTRY
Early 18th Century, attributed to Guillaume Werniers, after David Teniers the younger
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a peasant couple approaching a seated couple before a tree and a landscape in the distance, within a later blue and yellow outer slip, reweaving and some areas of patches, reduced in size
8 ft. 1½ in. x 5 ft. 4 in. (248 cm. x 163 cm.)
