Late 18th early 19th Century, in the manner of Giuseppe Maggolini
Crossbanded overall and inlaid with boxwood lines, the later rectangular verde antico marble top above a long drawer with a central rectangular panel of scrolling foliage centred by a lyre flanked by griffins, in a lappeted border, with conforming marquetry to the sides, above two long drawers inlaid sans traverse with a central oval depicting Jupiter and Juno flanked on each side by three children playing, on the left climbing a pole, on the right one a swing, all in a scrolling foliage border, each side with an oval enclosing a Classical female figure, in a conforming border, the corners with further scrolled foliate rectangular panels intersperced with birds, on square tapering legs with conforming panels, the feet slightly reduced in height
