A black and gilt japanned double domed bureau cabinet, late 17th/early 18th century
Decorated overall with floral sprays, Oriental pavillions, birds and figures, the moulded cornice above a pair of panelled doors enclosing two adjustable shelves, two pigeon holes and three short drawers, with two candle slides below, the base with a sloping fall enclosing a fitted interior of four pigeon holes, four short drawers, a central cupboard door flanked by column supports disguising secret drawers and a covered well, with two short and two long drawers below, on later bracket feet, refreshments to the decoration, some repainting, lacking finials, with a paper label printed F. & A.
