A Chinese armorial tankard
with flaring rim, painted in coloured enamels, en grisaille and gilt with a central crest with a lion rampant bearing the motto 'In Te Domine Speravi' on a ground of peony sprays beneath a spearhead border -- 4¾in. (12cms) high, 18th century, (rim chip, small hairline crack to base of handle).
