One of a veiled Empress carved in the beige layer against an unusual speckled ground, 17th Century; another carved in the white layer with the profile of Paris facing right in Phrygian cap, grey ground, 18th Century; another, sardonyx, carved in the three layers with the head of a female bacchante facing right, vine wreath and pine cone in her hair, circa 1800, an agate example carved in the light brown layer with a bust of Hadrian three quarter face to the right, grey ground, circa 1800, and a grey agate example carved with the youthful head in profile to the right, circa 1800, all 2.5 to 3cm. high (5)
