Lot Essay

The present work can be linked to an oil painting, Studie mit Huhn, that was sold from the Mnter Nachlass (L343) in 1971 to a private collector, and is dated 1919. The strong, dividing black lines in this composition are reminiscent of Hinterglasmalerei
