The square section case surmounted by a porcelain urn with gilt-metal cherubic bust finial, the jewelled side panels painted with musical trophies amidst flowers on a white ground with blue borders, with further panels below, the dial with Roman chapters within gilt frames, painted to the centre with flying Cupid, with scene below of the god with a woman playing a flute, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, stamped on the backplate for FENON PARIS
