The breakarch case with cartouche moulding to the cornice, cut-brass inlay to the front door flanked by chamfered angles, arched brass sound frets to the sides below scallop shell and ring handles, the brass dial with later foliate engraving and incised chapter ring, with later signature JAMES McCABE Royal Exchange 2010, minute hand lacking, strike/silent ring to the arch, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement chiming on nine bells via eight hammers (one lacking), with repeat signature to the backplate with pendulum holdfast; case, dial and movement composite
