The hood with broken arch pediment above fluted frieze, conforming outset columns, with three-quarter pilasters flanking the ebony and satinwood line-inlaid trunk door with wavy top, panel below, with conforming inlay and central oval to the plinth, the 13in. (33cm.) square re-painted white dial with stylized bats' wing spandrels, central seconds ring and later signature Wm. Waters Milnathort, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
