The hood with stepped breakarch top surmounted by brass ball and spire finials, side panels now covered, with moulded frame and chevron inlay to the breakarch trunk door, on stepped plinth with conforming inlay and wavy apron, the brass dial with mask and foliate lower spandrels to arcaded silvered chapter ring, the matted centre signed on an arch Nich.s Lambert London with date aperture and seconds ring, flanked above by silvered Sonne/Silence and A March/A Sonata rings with engraved centres, with further engraving to the arch above with rolling moon, the three train movement with five pillars, rack striking on a bell and chiming the quarters on eight bells via sixteen hammers; associated, case re-veneered, 18th century
