The breakarch hood with glazed side panels and outset brass stop-fluted columns, matching pilasters to rear and conforming three-quarter pilasters (one brass cap lacking) to the breakarch trunk door, on double-stepped plinth with raised panel and wavy skirting, the dial with scroll and foliate spandrels to the chapter ring, matted centre with recessed silvered seconds and calendar rings, the latter signed John Johnson Gray's Inn Passage, with strike/silent ring to the arch, the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
