Small 4° (183 x 136mm.), 37 engraved miniature maps in the text and 3 folding engraved maps, one loosely inserted (a few light spots), contemporary blind-stamped calf (somewhat rubbed). Provenance: Davenport Talbot, old inscription to front blank.

This work was originally published in 1643 by Matthew Simons under the title A Direction for the English Traviller. One of the folding maps depicts England and Wales, the other two are of York and Wales. Chubb XLIX; Wing B3718.
