Each approximately 8 x 6in. (21.6 x 16.5cm.) or the reverse. Large 4to; vellum boards with applied carbon transfer prints and gilt impressed detailing; green silk end-papers.

Lot Essay

The origin of this and other similar albums is still unknown. However, at least thirteen other albums with sequential numbering are known to exist. This numbering would suggest they were intended as a set, possibly for a collector of male erotica.
