Lot Essay

A similar Sukhothai dish decorated with fish is illustrated by Shaw, Introducing Thai Ceramics, p. 44 (bottom right). A brown- and white-glazed covered bowl which is similar to the one in this lot, is illustrated in Brown, The Ceramics of South-East Asia, plate XXXVb.
