The single-edged curving watered steel blade with spine, double-edged near point, each side damascened with silver, one with a panel containing a serpent above inscription and scrolling cartouches, the other side with similar inscription and scrolling motifs, the wooden faced handle with faceted curving ball terminal, the steel medial ridge, S-scrolling quillons, and substantial scabbard mounts all thickly damascened with gold scrolling and interlaced arabesques arranged in bands, two hanging loops above, damascening rubbed in a few places, very slight corrosion on blade and mounts
