The helmet of hemispherical form with upper spike, adjustable nosepiece, feather sockets and mail skirt, the shallowly convex shield with rolled rim and four hemispherical bosses, the armguard of rounded form with pointed upper terminal, the surface of each with a variety of figural scenes against an etched background, divided into panels by cusped cartouches damascened in gold with floral motifs, within floral and stylised kufic inscription borders, light corrosion
